Z'ABA HARVEST: CROWN & PEARL 2025

ZA'BA HARVEST: CROWN & PEARL is a high-impact initiative, namely a pineapple and oyster mushroom planting project in the college area, carried out as a collaboration between the Green Sustainability and Food Security Secretariat, the college management and the Putra Agricultural Centre. This activity aims to utilize the open land around the college through small-scale urban agriculture, with a focus on pineapple and oyster mushroom plants that are easy to maintain, hardy, and have high commercial value. This program is an ongoing program expected until the 2025/2026 session.

This collaboration provides opportunities for students to actively engage in activities that foster awareness of environmental sustainability and food security issues at the campus community level. In addition, several students have also been sent to participate in pineapple industry seminars representing the college to gain knowledge and build industry networks that are beneficial for the continuity of this project.

This project is also in line with the institution's desire to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), especially in the aspects of sustainable agriculture, food security, and community development.
